Transform Your Life With Biblical Meditation
Although we have been instructed in grace, our mind is still programmed for performance. When attempting to grow in our relationship with God we actively pray and study the Bible, but we have lost the art of resting in God and allowing Him to visit us in silence and solitude.
The disciples never asked Jesus to teach them how to heal people or perform miracles. They just wanted Him to teach them to pray. They knew Jesus lived this powerful life by mastering the discipline of being alone. His times of prayer were not focussed on making requests but on being changed and charged in the presence of His Father.
Biblical meditation is the art of letting God change you through His Truth, Presence and Power.
The Following Topics Will Be Covered
We will take you through 10 guided Biblical meditations. Each meditation deals with a principle of Biblical meditation. Going through these meditations will not only help you develop the habit and experience the power, but also equip and instruct you to master the art of Biblical meditation for yourself.
DAY 1
Be Still
In this digital world there are more distractions than ever. Learning to be truly still, is harder than ever before. For you to really live in the power and peace of God, stillness and solitude are two key weapons. Once you master these, they will make you invincible.
DAY 2
Eat The Word
The world and the church have become far too intellectual. We have learned how to feed our intellect with knowledge, but not how to feed our heart and spirit with truth. Discover how you can learn to feed your spirit with God’s Word and become strong in you inner man.
DAY 3
Daily Bread
Each day evil and temptation come our way, but God has already provided the strength, wisdom and power to resist and overcome everything that tries to deceive, distract or defeat you! Jesus was ready for victory, because of His daily habit of meditating on God’s precepts and statutes.
DAY 4
Be Like A Tree
The psalmist gives us insight in a fruitful life: we need to be planted like a tree. A tree masters the skill of being. A tree is immovable, rooted, grounded and when properly nourished will bring forth the right fruit without any effort. David reveals the key: meditate on God’s law day and night and keep the right company!
DAY 5
Set Your Mind
Meditation means to train your mind. Through the power of the Holy Spirit you can be mindful of the things of your choice. When you learn to set your mind on the finished work of Christ, you will never be discouraged or defeated, but always filled with hope and the right perspective on the circumstances you are facing here on earth.
DAY 6
The Peace Of God
The peace of God is the manifestation of His presence. The peace of God overcomes all stress, anxiety, worry, fear and defeat in one blast. Learning to live in the abiding peace and presence of God is the main objective of Biblical mediation. In this meditation we dive deep in Paul’s instructions on God’s peace.
DAY 7
Shut The Door
When Jesus taught on prayer, He takes it way deeper than most of us have ever realized. We are familiar with the type of (cataphatic) prayer where we ask God to change our circumstances, but Jesus reveals that God is more interested in the type of (aphophatic) prayer where He can change us. Jesus reveals that apophatic prayer like meditation comes with an open reward from our Heavenly Father.
DAY 8
Choose The Good Part
The well known story of Mary and Martha reveals the profound truth of the power that is released when you choose to live a meditative life, like Mary, at the feet of Jesus. This story will be life changing when you understand that the world is caught up in the work ethics of Martha, but you can escape the stress, hustle, and frustration when you choose the right priority in your life.
DAY 9
Write On My Heart
When Moses went up the mountain he met with God Who wrote His laws on tablets of stone. When we meet with God He wants to write on the tablet of your heart. When God’s truth is written on our heart it overrides our old nature and deceptive identity and launches us in the reality of who we truly are in Christ.
DAY 10
Wait On The Lord
There is no better way to describe meditation than waiting on God. When we wait on God we become one with Him, and we exchange His strength, wisdom and character for our weakness, struggle and stumbling. Waiting on God requires trust, but when you wait on God He will always reveal Himself!
